By accessing or using Cheflio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.
2. Description of Service
Cheflio is a platform that enables food creators to build recipe websites, monetize their content through subscriptions and digital products, and connect with their audience. We provide tools for recipe management, payment processing, and audience engagement.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create on Cheflio. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for operating and promoting the Service.
You agree not to post content that:
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains illegal, harmful, or offensive material
- Violates any third party's rights
- Contains malware or harmful code
- Misrepresents your identity or affiliation
5. Subscription and Payment Terms
For Creators
- Cheflio charges a subscription fee of $29/month or $99/year
- We charge 0% platform fee on your earnings from fan subscriptions
- Payment processing fees (Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30) apply to all transactions
- Payouts are processed within 2 business days
For Subscribers (Fans)
- Subscriptions are billed monthly to your payment method
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis by creators
6. Free Trial
We offer a 7-day free trial for new creators. No credit card is required to start. If you choose not to subscribe after the trial, your site will become inactive but your data will be preserved for 30 days.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of the billing period
- Your site will go offline after the subscription ends
- Your data will be preserved for 30 days, allowing you to reactivate
- You can export your content at any time
8. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
- Scrape or collect user data without permission
- Use automated systems to access the Service
- Impersonate another person or entity
9. Intellectual Property
The Cheflio name, logo, and all related marks are our trademarks. The Service and its original content (excluding user content) are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cheflio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict of law principles.
